There is a task in my "daily reminder" todo list which says to speak up and ask for help. Two things that I have always struggled with, and I still struggle with even though I have it written as a task that I have to perform everyday.

If I procastinate or waste time doing something I shouldn't be doing it is because I did not ask for help from the right people. I can spend hours in my head wondering about the possibilities and the consequences of my choices, even though I know it could be avoided by speaking up and saying what is on my mind without hasitation.

That said, like any other skill you can improve your ability to speak up your mind through regular practice.

In this youtube video Robin Sharma explains how Speaking up your mind not only improve the relationship you have with others but it also improves the relationship you have with yourself because the primary relationship of self heroism the your relationship with yourself. You can say whatever you want, so long as you say it with respect and authenticity.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." – Dr. Seuss
